Okay guys, long time since last post and super self-promotion, but a short animation I did with 10 other talented people just won Audience Choice and Honorary Mention in the Best Animated Short category at the Napa Valley Film Festival! I couldn’t keep it all in, I had to share it. Thanks to the whole crew for working with me for the better part of a year on this!
hisbookgoblin asked: What kind of paper do you use for your charcoal drawings (which a outstanding, btw!!)?
aw, thanks—personally I wished I had a wider selection of toned paper with smaller grain when I got it, but I bought the only toned paper they had at my nearby Utrecht art supplies store which is a Canson Mi-Teintes Pastel paper. I use a combo of vine charcoal and compressed charcoal and white conte crayon for highlights.
